Scarifiers, also called surface planers or milling machines, remove concrete faster and more
aggressively than grinders. That's because they use the pummelling action of multi-tipped
cutting wheels, or flails, that rotate at high speeds to chip away at the concrete surface.
Scarifiers are surface preparation tools and a scabbler is more of a demolition tool that
impacts the surface with force.
Scarifers allow you to control the depth of the cut more precisely than with scabblers.
Our tungsten TCT cutters (flails) are mounted on the interchangeable cutter assemblie
drum shaft of planers/scarifiers, milling machines or other floor surface prep machines. Mainly
used to tackle the most demanding applications of surface preparation and material removal
and to do the light or heavy stock removal.
