2. Scope

This simplified RAMS document applies to the production, inspection, storage, transportation, installation, replacement and use of all scarifier and cutter blades supplied by ZHUZHOU XINHE INDUSTRY CO.,LTD. It covers all common construction and road maintenance site safety risks and standard safe working procedures for blade-related work.

3. General Safety Policy

We strictly comply with workplace safety requirements. All our cutter blades are manufactured with high-quality steel, precision processing and strict quality testing to eliminate structural defects. We ensure safe product performance and provide clear safety guidance for on-site blade installation and usage.

All on-site staff must receive basic safety training and follow site safety rules during blade replacement and construction work.

4. Mandatory PPE

All personnel handling or using cutter blades must wear the following PPE:

• Safety hard hat & high-visibility vest
• Impact safety goggles
• Cut-resistant safety gloves
• Anti-slip safety boots
• Dust mask and ear defenders (for on-site cutting work)

5. Simple Safe Working Method Statement

5.1 Pre-Work Preparation

• Clear and tidy the working area, set safety warning signs to exclude irrelevant personnel.
• Inspect blades to confirm no cracks, deformation or excessive wear.
• Turn off and lock machine power supply before blade replacement.
• Check blade fasteners and matching accessories are complete and qualified.

5.2 On-Site Operation

• Install and fix blades firmly according to standard operating steps.
• Run the machine idle for 2-3 minutes to check blade stability before formal work.
• Operate equipment at a stable speed; avoid violent impact and overload cutting to prevent blade breakage and splashing.
• Keep a safe distance from rotating blades during operation.
• Stop working immediately if abnormal blade vibration, noise or damage occurs.

5.3 Post-Work Handling

• Cut off power completely after the machine stops fully.
• Clean blade surface dust and check wear condition.
• Replace severely worn or damaged blades in time.
• Store spare blades in a dry, fixed and safe area.
